How Greedy Works:
- The 60-Second Clock:
Teams have one minute to score as many points as possible, but there is a major twist to how those points are locked in.
- The Valued Zones:
The field is split into three main throwing distances, each worth a different point value (typically 1, 3, and 5 points).
- The "Greedy" Rule:
Here is the catch—you cannot just throw to the highest-scoring zone over and over. To successfully bank your points, each consecutive catch must be worth equal to or greater than the previous one.
For example, if your dog catches a 1-point throw, your next throw must be worth 1, 3, or 5 points. But if your dog catches a 5-point throw, your very next throw
must also be a 5-pointer, or your streak resets!
- Bank It or Lose It:
If your dog drops a disc, your current unbanked point streak is wiped out. Handlers can yell "Bank!"
at any time to safely lock in their current points, but doing so resets their required starting point value back to the minimum.
- The Ultimate Multiplier:
If a team manages to successfully climb the ladder (scoring a 1, a 3, and a 5 in a row without a drop), they unlock the "Greedy Bonus,"
which applies a massive multiplier to their entire round's score.
